Donald Keith Haines

With sad hearts the family announces that Donald Keith Haines passed away quietly March 7, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital after a long illness.

Born March 25, 1934, he was the son of the late Donald and Irma (Brewer) Haines.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alice (Johnston); his daughters, Cathy, Pam and Jill (Guy Wardell); grandchildren, Jesse and Matthew Montandon, Simon, Clara, Sophie and Charlotte McNamee; sister, Jean Gates; and brother Ronald (Elva) Haines; uncles, Carl (Blanche) Haines, Ralph and Stewart Brewer; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Pearl Johnston; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Jonathan Montandon.

Although there will be no visitation, a Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. George Fenstra officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Red Cross or a charity of the donor’s choice.
